I’ve been a bit quiet here for a while but it doesn’t mean that nothing was happening behind the scenes. Summer time has always been very special to me. I take a deep breath then. I love travelling, meeting new people, going on adventures and sharing a lot of quality time with my daughter and friends. Sometimes you just need to step back a little, change your perspective, take your time, reflect on what is going on and make future your plans with great care.
And I’ve set a lot of very challenging both professional and private goals for the year that’s ahead and I had to make sure that the ladder is leaning against the right wall. I needed time to plan lots of smaller action steps which will take me to the bigger picture. I changed some of my daily habits in order to be absolutely focused and in the best mental and physical shape. I spent hours writing down my thoughts, learning, meditating, travelling, etc. so that my decisions and future actions aren’t shaped by the expectations of the society or my family but they belong to me. I decided what I was ready to let go, and I just let it go…
I did all that because it’s relatively easy to be very, very busy but not actually effective. As I have ambitious goals to accomplish I wanted to figure out how I can achieve the maximum of effectiveness without the feeling of sacrificing myself, my health, my peace and losing the balance and integrity. That was a lot of work but such time is precious and very valuable. Such time is necessary to take. Such time can shift the paradigms. Such time is the accelerator, not a waste.
Nevertheless, when I think about the forthcoming year… I’m still scared but I am not scared off. I’m grateful for all the experiences that I encountered this summer as they led me to the present mindset. I feel motivated, empowered, enthusiastic and excited. I know that a lot will change and it’s my responsibility to make things happen. And I will make them happen. Two out of my biggest dreams already came true this summer so…;) So stay tuned for more 😉
What about you? Do you reflect on your life? Do you give yourself time to answer the key questions about where you are and where you are going? Are you proactive? Do you take responsibility for your life? Do you set long and short term goals? Are you focused and effective? Where do you see yourself in a year from now? Do you ever think about it? What do you do with those thoughts?
I really hope that the holiday season gave you space and possibility to reflect, transform and make some important decisions and plans.
I told you about myself and my journey and now I look forward to hear your stories and some of the answers to the questions above! Let’s inspire each other and be proud.
Thank you summer, you were magical.
